Droxford Junior School

Responsibility

The children say that ‘Responsibility’ is…

  • “Doing something without being told to – using your initiative like picking up litter.”
  • “Doing something kind for someone without thinking about it.”
  • “Helping someone if hurt or upset or feeling left out.”
  • “Listening when required to.”
  • “Showing commitment.”
  • “Owning up to your actions – being honest and trustworthy”
  • “Making the right choice or decision.”
  • “Help a grown up.”
  • “Looking after something like a pet – (Luna) or special equipment or possessions.”
  • “Being responsible for your own learning – how you listen and organise yourself.”

We discussed the school Value of ‘Responsibility’ in assembly in the same way as we do with all our Values and ‘Skills for Learni ng’.  These are the words of the children.
