Meet the Governors
|
My name is Helen Parrott and I have the pleasure to be Chair of Governors at Droxford Junior School. I have been on the Governing Body for five years now and am in my third year as Chair. My background is in education. I have been a teacher for nearly 25 years, and I was Head of Juniors at a local independent school for eight years. I love being a Governor because it gives me the opportunity to make an impact on the lives and education of the children at Droxford, as well as supporting my local community. My hobbies include travel and going to the theatre. My husband and I are currently renovating a dilapidated cottage on the Isle of Wight and also enjoy looking after our first grandchild, who was born this May. I look forward to seeing many of you around the school when I visit for events. Please do come and say hello if you see me! |

My name is Matthew Rees and I've been a Governor at Droxford since January 2024. I'm a Systems Engineer in the aerospace sector and am passionate about STEM. Both of my children attended Droxford Junior School and I am very much enjoying being a Governor - giving back to the community and, in a small way, helping support the school in growing and developing children through to the next steps in their lives. |

Hi, I'm Bonike and I joined the Governing Body as a Co-Opted Member in October 2024. I'm General Counsel and Company Secretary at Save the Children UK, having qualified as a Barrister over 15 years ago. Before that, I worked in Software for a few years. I'm passionate about Education and Youth Development and am excited to bring both my energy and professional expertise to my role as a School Governor. I have 2 primary-aged children, am married to Tom and am obsessed with Rugby Union! |
